At the core of my work is the belief that people are not problems to be fixed. You are a human being with a lived experience that deserves care, understanding, and respect. I aim to offer a calm, collaborative space where we can be honest about what feels heavy and gently explore what support might look like for you.
If you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure about what comes next, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to walk alongside you as you explore what you’re carrying and begin to let go of what may no longer serve you.
A safe space where we can be honest about what’s hard, and curious about what’s possible.
Life can feel heavy, confusing, or overwhelming. It’s easy to feel like you have to carry it all on your own. Counselling offers a space where you don’t have to. It’s not about fixing what’s “wrong.” It’s about exploring what’s present, your thoughts, feelings, patterns, and the things that feel too heavy to face alone.
I support people navigating:
Anxiety (management) and stress
Depression (management)
Low self-esteem
Relationship or family challenges
Grief, trauma, or big life transitions
Feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of the next step
This space is for anyone who wants to be heard, understood, and supported while exploring what may no longer serve them.
Sessions are grounded, relaxed, and collaborative. We check in, explore what feels most pressing, and notice patterns that may be shaping your life, both conscious and unconscious. You’re invited to pause, breathe, and bring your full, complex self into the session.
I use a person-centred, integrative approach. Our work is guided by you, not a rigid framework, and focuses on supporting your wellbeing in ways that feel safe and meaningful. Depending on what is appropriate and helpful, I may incorporate:
Talk-based counselling to explore thoughts, feelings, and patterns in a supportive, reflective space
Somatic (body-based) practices to support awareness and regulation of the body
Breathwork and pranayama to help with relaxation and present-moment focus
Flexibility, curiosity, and collaboration guide every session. All approaches I use are within my scope of practice as an ASCHP-designated Wellness Counsellor, and we will always work together to ensure the tools and techniques feel right for you.
Counselling can help you:
Feel more grounded
Notice patterns that no longer serve you
Build emotional resilience
Reconnect with yourself and your values
Many clients notice greater clarity, steadiness, and confidence in how they show up in life and relationships.

*Access to affordable mental health support remains a significant need. *Please note, this is a cash practice, and as such I will not be able to claim directly from any medical aid. However, should you wish to, you may attempt to submit claims to your medical aid post-session, although I cannot guarantee any outcomes in these cases.
Wellness Counsellors serve to enhance the total wellbeing of their clients by making use of a systems approach to counselling – working towards achieving wholeness within the integrative unity of body, mind and spirit. The level of counselling is that of primary health care. This includes individual counselling, group counselling and marriage counselling, life style coaching, counselling for problems, trauma counselling, drug and alcohol abuse counselling, HIV/AIDS counselling, counselling for gambling addiction, bereavement counselling, hospice counselling and support and assistance in human development.
The Wellness Counsellor is competent to lend comprehensive counselling support towards the improvement of the quality of life by assisting client’s in resolving conflicts, improving relationships, sorting out general problems, coping with life’s challenges and finding inner peace.
Wellness Counsellors are required to refer clients to medical and psychological professionals if they identify needs that require specialised intervention such as mood, personality and anxiety disorders and health related problems that require medical attention.
